Regular Meeting
April 8, 2010
Meeting began at 1830 local time, KD7GHZ-Mike-presiding.
Sixteen people signed the attendance sheet, and over 20 people attended.
1. Bloomsday 2010: Kyle, KA7CSP, the annual Bloomsday communications coordinator, announced that he is soliciting volunteers to participate in Bloomsday communications efforts, and passed around a sign-up sheet.
2. Financial records review: To satisfy club by law requirements, Mike requested three
volunteers to review the club financial records. Three persons came forward to accomplish this task.
3. Up-coming events: VHF contest: (still in planning stage). Mini DX pedition:
W7JRB-John is looking for at least one volunteer to assist him in determining a
Suitable site for this event. Contact any board member at www.vhfclub.org. to vol-
unteer.
4. Elections: Jim, VP and nominating committee chairman, opened the floor to
Nominations. Results: Nominees are: President: Mike Carey-KD7GHZ

5. Presentation: WA7BAA-Don presented a talk and DVD on basic transmitter hunting,
using directional antennas and portable receivers.
6. It was moved and seconded to close nominations. A vote was taken; result was unanimous to close accepting any additional nominations for official and directorship positions for the election for May’s meeting on May 13, 2010.
7. A motion was made and seconded that the club purchase a hand held portable 2- meter radio to be used in the “fox box” for fox hunts. By a voice vote, this measure was approved by the members attending.
8. 50/50 drawing: Total jackpot: $8.00. 50% was $4.00 won by AC7GP-Bob
