At the last general meeting of Feburary 2008, a very important topic was discussed; the removal of "VHF" from the club name. This was discussed at board meetings and proposed with request for comments at the meeting. All comments were positive and for the change.

This would change the known name from:

INLAND EMPIRE VHF RADIO AMATEURS

to:

INLAND EMPIRE RADIO AMATEURS

and change the official name from:

INLAND EMPIRE VHF RADIO AMATEURS, INC

to:

INLAND EMPIRE RADIO AMATEURS, INC

The website address would stay the same with the possibility of adding another name to reflect the change that would forward to the current name and be accessible by both.

Pursuant to club bylaws, this is notification that this topic will be voted on at the next general meeting to be held on Thursday, March 13th 2008.

Club name change: The club is currently named The Inland Empire VHF Radio Amateurs. The board has agreed to remove VHF from the name. Eight members present commented; all eight agreed a name change is due. In accordance with club by-laws, a notification to the membership has been given tonight, additional notification will be haven via email to the members, and a vote will be taken at the next club meeting in March. The new name, if approved by the membership vote in March, will be INLAND EMPIRE RADIO AMATEURS, INC (CLUB)
